Spaghetti is perhaps the most famous pasta in the world.. Although it originated in Italy, it has reached all over the world adapting to different cultures and gastronomies, and many people consider it among their favorites.

There are many ways to prepare spaghetti. The different spaghetti recipes show that it is an ingredient that can be combined in many ways to experience exquisite flavors, and in many occasions only a simple preparation is necessary.

Spaghetti recipes: 5 dishes for pasta lovers.

A good spaghetti dish starts with good cooking.. The secret to achieve this is to make the spaghetti firm, i.e. “al dente”. In addition, the versatility of spaghetti makes it possible to combine it with other ingredients and achieve delicious dishes.

The most popular spaghetti recipes are those that are easy and practical to prepare. However, it is worth venturing into more complex recipes that give spaghetti an exceptional flavor. Pasta lovers know this all too well.

1. Spaghetti Bolognese

Spaghetti Bolognese is one of the most famous spaghetti recipes in the world. For its preparation you need 500 grams of spaghetti, 500 grams of veal, 5 large tomatoes, ½ liter of veal stock, 1 onion, 4 carrots, 1 clove of garlic, cumin, ½ tablespoon of nutmeg, Parmesan cheese, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper.

The first thing to start with is to boil the spaghetti to cook it al dente. To do this, bring water to a boil and add a spoonful of grain salt. Then the pasta is put in and left to simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. On the other hand, in a frying pan brown the carrot, the garlic and the finely chopped onion, and fry them until the onion is transparent.

Then add the minced meat and stir until, after 3 minutes, add the tomato and the spices. Then it is necessary to stir well until the ingredients are incorporated and mix with the veal broth.

It should remain over low heat for 25 minutes. Then add the spaghetti and mix, and serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top.

2. Spaghetti with pesto and almonds

Traditionally, spaghetti with pesto is prepared with pine nuts.but in this recipe they are substituted by almonds. The almonds could also be substituted with walnuts or some other seed.

You need: 1 package of spaghetti of 200 grams, 3 handfuls of fresh basil, 20 almonds, 2 cloves of garlic, ½ cup of Parmesan cheese, ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper to taste.

The first step is to cook the spaghetti so that it is al dente. In two liters of boiling water add salt, preferably in grains, and leave the spaghetti for about 7 minutes over low heat.

In the meantime you can peel the almonds. To facilitate this, they should be soaked in hot water to make it easier to remove the skin. Check that the basil has no stems, wash and disinfect it and then let it dry before using it. Then blend the basil leaves, garlic cloves, salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil.

When the consistency is similar to a puree, add the almonds and Parmesan cheese to continue grinding. This sauce is added to the cooked spaghetti and served with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.

3. Lemon spaghetti

This lemon spaghetti recipe is very easy to prepare.. It is also a very refreshing dish that can be ideal for a hot afternoon. You need 200 grams of spaghetti, 15 grams of butter, 2 lemons, 60 grams of cream cheese, dried oregano, basil, black pepper, Parmesan cheese, extra virgin olive oil and salt.

As in all spaghetti recipes, leaving the pasta al dente is very important. For this you have to boil 2 liters of water and add salt, then put the spaghetti and let it simmer.

On the other hand it is necessary to grate the lemon peel. The rest of the lemon is divided in four parts and sautéed in a frying pan with butter. They should be lightly browned and a pinch of salt is added. Then remove them and drain them to remove the juices and add them to the pan along with the cream cheese.

Once melted, add Parmesan cheese, thyme, oregano and pepper. Add the cooked spaghetti along with the lemon zest and mix everything together. It is ready to be served with a little basil and parmesan cheese to taste.

4. Spaghetti carbonara

The spaghetti carbonara recipe is another classic that pasta lovers love.. For this recipe you need 200 grams of spaghetti, 3 eggs, 100 grams of smoked bacon, 2 cloves of garlic, Parmesan cheese, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper.

While the pasta is cooking in boiling salted water, beat the two eggs in a bowl. Add the Parmesan cheese, pepper and salt. Then mix until a homogeneous texture is obtained. Separately, in a frying pan add a little oil to sauté the bacon, which should be cut into more or less thin strips.

When the bacon is beginning to brown, add the cooked spaghetti and sauté for no more than 40 seconds. When removed from the heat, immediately add the egg mixture with the Parmesan cheese and let stand without beating.

When the spaghetti has been soaked with the egg and cheese sauce it can be served. Undoubtedly a dish that will please everyone.

5. Sautéed spaghetti with sardines

The spaghetti sautéed with sardines is ideal for a dinner for guests.. You need a 200 or 250 g package of spaghetti, 1 can of sardines in oil, half a large onion, two cloves of garlic, five cherry tomatoes, two tablespoons of olive oil, salt and ground black pepper.

To begin the recipe, heat two liters of water and add salt when it is boiling. Then add the pasta and leave it over low heat to make it al dente.

On the other hand, heat butter in a frying pan and sauté the previously chopped onion and garlic, cut the cherry tomatoes in two, and add them to the frying pan with the onion and garlic.

After frying them a little, add the capers, salt, pepper and fine herbs. Then add the sardines, well drained and cut in two, and finally add the spaghetti and sauté everything a little. Finally, serve everything hot and add a little olive oil.
