The arrival of the refrigerator in our homes has revolutionized the way we store food. We see this appliance as the ideal ally for preserving our food. We know that many of them, such as yogurts, juices, fish, meats or soups, would not last even 24 hours outside the refrigerator. Others last quite long outside the fridge but much longer inside. And finally there are those that should not go in the fridge.

There are foods that do not benefit from the cold of the refrigerator, because they spoil or lose their flavor, taste or texture.. It is necessary to know which foods should not be in the refrigerator and below we have them.

That everyday act of opening the door and putting the food inside just after coming back from shopping is not always synonymous with good preservation.. Not in all cases it is a better option, and it can even be counterproductive. Some foods lose some of their characteristics if we put them in the refrigerator.

The following is a list of foods that we should keep away from our refrigerator appliance par excellence.

1. Chocolate

Chocolate keeps perfectly well out of the refrigerator, in a cool and well-closed place. Its texture is also better and its flavors and aromas are preserved, because in the refrigerator it can absorb unwanted odors.
