Are you one of those people who eats tupper at work every day? Do you have to cook every day and are running out of ideas? In this article we propose 18 meals to take to work (or wherever you want).

These are 18 different and healthy dishes, easy to cook and to take in a tupper. Moreover, you can take them to work or wherever you want. As you will see, we propose simpler dishes and others a little more elaborate.

18 meals to take to work comfortably

The 18 meals to take to work that we propose have as main ingredient a great variety of foods: meats, fish, salads, vegetables…

Here we explain in brief what each of these dishes consists of, which you can start cooking now.

1. Spinach and mushroom salad

Salads are the star dish to take to work, as they are healthy, easy and quick to make. In addition, we find a great variety of them; in this case we propose the spinach and mushroom salad. The mushrooms can be added raw, and we can dress it with spicy oil to enhance its flavor.

2. Chickpea salad with tomato and ventresca (tuna belly)

Another type of salad, in this case with chickpeas, tomato and ventresca (tuna), is also ideal as a lunch to take to work. It is an easy dish to make, to which we can add other ingredients, such as cheese. In addition, it is a satiating yet healthy salad.

3. Sautéed pumpkin with chickpeas

The next easy meal to take to work is sautéed pumpkin, which we can sauté with chickpeas and dress with different creams or oils. We suggest a yogurt dressing, because it gives it a very special touch, although others can be added. In addition, it can be served cold or warm. It is an ideal dish for vegans.

4. Chicken breasts with lime

This dish is composed of chicken breasts with an addition of lime, which provides a citric touch that will give a lot of flavor to the dish. In addition, we can add Japanese spices, such as “Shichimi Togarashi”, which includes orange peel, sesame seeds, seaweed and chilies.

5. Pasta salad

Another classic is pasta salad, consisting of lettuce and some type of fresh pasta (e.g. ravioli, tortellini, macaroni…). In addition, we can add other ingredients: tuna, corn, olives, strips of sweet ham… It is an easy to make dish, very fresh and satisfying, ideal as a lunch to take to work.

6. Chicken sandwich

We can also resort to sandwiches. In this case we propose a delicious chicken sandwich with goat cheese, quince and plums. We can also add a little mustard. In addition, the good thing is that it can be eaten either hot or cold.

7. Vegetable cream

Another idea of food to take to work is a vegetable cream, which we can take hot or warm. The ideal is to take it in round tuppers in the shape of a jar. We can elaborate it with leeks, potatoes, zucchini and carrots, for example (the combinations are infinite).

8. Vegetable stew

If we continue betting for the healthy, we find another ideal dish: the classic vegetable stew. This is a simple dish to prepare, based on seasonal vegetables (e.g. cauliflower, carrots, green beans…).

9. Stuffed peppers

In this case we propose a delicious dish of stuffed peppers prepared in the oven. We can fill them with quinoa, cheese and tomato, for example. We can also add (or change) the ingredients, using smoked bacon, onion, zucchini… The possibilities are very diverse and will depend on our taste.

10. Tabbouleh

The tabbouleh (or tabbouleh) is a type of salad originating from Lebanon and Syria, with very complete ingredients. It can be elaborated with couscous or bulgur (food that comes from wheat). It consists of a cold dish, which is usually consumed in summer (especially in Arabia). Its main ingredients are parsley, olive oil, tomato, lettuce and aromatic herbs.

11. Ham and cheese omelette

The omelette is another easy dish to make as a take-away meal. We can make very different omelets, depending on the ingredients we choose. In this case we propose a cheese, sweet ham and tomato omelet, but we can add or remove ingredients (for example add bacon, onion, etc.). We can serve it as a plate or as a sandwich.

12. Green bean and rice salad

Another salad that we propose is the salad of rice and green beans. It is elaborated in a fast and simple way, mixing the ingredients (we can also add carrots). To give it flavor we can add a little mustard, honey and/or olive oil.

13. Cuban-style rice

The classic arroz a la cubana, although few people know it, is actually made with white rice, fried egg, tomato sauce and plantain. This dish is originally from Cuba but it is very typical in the Canary Islands. It is a rich and very complete dish at a nutritional level.

14. Rice with chicken

We can also opt for a delicious rice dish with chicken and vegetables (carrots, onion, green beans, peppers…). This is a typical Spanish dish (also very typical in Latin America). To enrich its flavor we can choose to season the rice with different spices (e.g. thyme, garlic, bay leaf…).

15. Chicken breast with mushrooms

Another dish with chicken breast, this time with mushrooms. We can choose to cook the chicken breast grilled, to make it healthier. In addition, we can add a sauce (for example mustard). Another idea is to add some cooked rice as a garnish, to make the dish more complete.

16. Quinoa salad

Quinoa salad is another dish that cannot be missing in our list. Quinoa is a very nutritious and versatile food, easy to include in salads. We can prepare the salad by mixing the quinoa with chopped vegetables, olive oil, spices and lemon. In addition, we can add seeds or nuts.

17. Macaroni with tomatoes

Another ideal dish is pasta: we bet for some macaroni with cherry tomatoes, which we can poach and season to taste. We can also add aromatic herbs and zucchini. Finally, we can add a little grated cheese on top.

18. Sautéed peas with cuttlefish

The next dish we propose is very tasty and light, this time based on fish. Cuttlefish is a healthy food that can be served with sautéed chickpeas (or other vegetables). On the other hand, cuttlefish contains high levels of vitamins A, B and E, which are beneficial for the nervous system.
